The multihued circles in the Arcadia series represent ocular
points of reference. Through a camera's lens or a rifle's scope,
they are darkly whimsical remnants of the viewer's gaze. They also
function as colorful reminders of our ongoing and unrelenting urge to control
nature. Through this series of paintings and drawings, I was able to further
my understanding of how we as a culture continue to navigate images of nature
and the concept of "Landscape".
